Our Current Projects
Ongoing Mission Trip in Burma
The entire Matthews family (John, Khaw-tee, Levi, Joshua and Benjamin) are currently in Burma and will continue their missionary work for majority of 2020. John and Khaw Tee have been called to the field and are both passionate to reach many tribes that have not yet heard the Gospel. In October 2019, John and Khaw-tee along with their 3 boys took a step of faith to answer their call to preach the Gospel in Burma and uprooted their entire family for Kingdom advancement.
Twantay Children's Home
There are currently 21 children living under the care of Twantay Children's Home. Every child has a need for food, shelter, clothing and education. It costs 50 dollars to cover the recurring need for every child monthly.
Every gift gives a child an opportunity to go to school, receive safe shelter, learn about Jesus, and have all their meals provided for.
Without your help, orphans and underprivileged children in Burma will often end up in monasteries to be raised in Buddhist faith, and are sent out on the street to ask for their food and are only fed twice daily.
But with your help, it's a different story. They can be part of a community, have a family, get their basic needs met and even have an education.
Will you consider helping a child today?

Pastoral Training and Equipping
Because of the prevalent religion of Buddhism in Burma, pastoral training and equipping is limited and very restricted. Rhema Project's goal is to help equip, train and release pastors to be effective in their local ministries and local church planting. There remains to be a high number of tribes and localities that are unreached by the Gospel and is in desperate need for leadership and sound Biblical doctrine.
It costs 5000 to host one conference; where local pastors can come and receive encouragement, leadership training, and Biblical teaching.
Each sponsorship will cover the cost for 15 pastors, including transportation, their food, shelter, training materials for a full 7 day training and equipping.
Outreach
There is a great need to expand the reach of The Gospel in Burma. There are a few ways that Rhema Project expands the reach of The Gospel.
Local Community Outreach - A local community church visit where The Gospel will be presented and Bibles are distributed. It costs about 250 dollars to cover the distribution of the Bibles for the local congregation which is necessary since distribution of the Bible in Burma is limited.
Outreach to local community - This program is directed to reach people who have never heard the Gospel. People are invited to come where there will be provided with food, fellowship, presented with the Gospel and will receive Bibles as well. It currently costs 650 Dollars to host local outreaches, that covers transportation, food for the community, and Bible distribution
Crusades - 2000 Dollars sponsors a crusade to a series of remote villages where the Gospel has never been heard. Reaching these villages and tribes are challenging because of limited transportation.
We thank you for your heart to reach people, care for the orphans, love the widows and reach the world for The Gospel of Jesus Christ
